The 2019 ReuNight Co-Chairs Melinda Bell, Catherine Cox and Natalie Lorio realized that one of the major highlights of the annual Family Place fundraiser is the wine-paired supper. And since this year’s event is taking place at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, Chef Sebastian Archambault presented a roll out of suggestions on Tuesday, October 8, for the ladies to pick for the final menu. Here’s a tasty report from the field:
Dallas-based family violence agency, The Family Place, attended a private tasting at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek on Tuesday, October 8, at noon. The newly renovated lawn of the iconic Texas hotel will serve as the venue for ReuNight, the agency’s exclusive dinner and live auction fundraiser.

ReuNight co-chairs Melinda Bell, Catherine Cox, and Natalie Lorio along with Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek Director of Catering and Events Terry Shields sat at a private round table nestled in the back of the hotel’s dining area. The group mingled about the upcoming event while tasting options for the cocktail reception, first course, entrée course and dessert course. During the tasting, the three chairs were awed by the impressive menu proposal created by Chef Sebastian Archambault.
“Every dish was delectable! Just when we finished a bite of one option, another was presented to us that was just as delicious. We cannot wait for our guests to enjoy the innovative cuisine on this year’s ReuNight menu!” shared Catherine.

After an hour-long tasting, the chairs decided on the perfect menu for their guests. The cocktail reception will feature passed of lamb lollipop with tzatziki sauce, ahi tuna poke with avocado mousse and tiny chives on top of a wonton chip, as well as lobster hushpuppy with siracha tarragon aioli.

For the plated dinner, guests will enjoy a first course with winter squash and carrot velouté, pumpkin croutons and pepitas. The entrée course will include roasted filet mignon basil potato puree, beef jus, diver scallops, truffle butternut puree, rapini, braised endive, and brown butter orange sauce.
To finish the menu, the chairs choose a heavenly chocolate composition of a chocolate brownie, dark chocolate mousse and cappuccino ice cream created by Pastry Chef Jacquelynn Beckman.

Each course will be paired with a Coquerel Family Wine, to bring out the full essence of each dish. Delightful!
ReuNight will be held on Wednesday, November 6, at the elegant event lawn of Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.
