Collin County and the surrounding areas have experienced incredible growth in recent years. Companies and families have found all the perks of North Texas right there. But some folks have experienced some tough times despite all the pluses. Even in Collin County, there are such issues as homelessness, domestic violence and child abuse. For this reason, organizations like The Samaritan Inn, Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County and Hope’s Door have emerged to aid in troubled times.
It was just announced that The Samaritan Inn’s COO Jim Malatich has been named CEO of Hope’s Door. While his work at The Samaritan Inn has been to help the homeless, the 16-year Plano resident feels the transition to Hope’s Door and its efforts to stem domestic violence will be seamless.
According to Jim, “Working with domestic violence has always been in my blood. One of the leading reasons for homelessness is domestic violence, so I have worked with this population throughout my career.”
