Whoa! Before folks head out of town for summer hiatus, the Genesis number-crunchers have provided great news.
As a result of the Genesis Women’s Shelter Luncheon, Genesis Women’s Shelter CEO Jan Langbein reported that thanks to feature keynote speaker Sheryl Lee Ralph, “the final net from the 31st Anniversary Luncheon was $1,036,00, surpassing our goal of $1M.”
According to Jan, “The support we receive each year during the Genesis Annual Luncheon is incredible — not only because of the critical funds and awareness raised, but also because 1,400 people come together and say that violence against women and children is never acceptable. From this year’s Luncheon, we are able to make over one million promises to women and children seeking help and hope all thanks to our community.”
While the Genesis team has been busy with its Conference on Crimes Against Women, they’re already planning for next year’s luncheon.
